Neighbor warns of narrow roads, runoff and construction impacts at Old Doss hearing

Jeremy Bridal (S12), a property owner adjacent to the proposed Old Doss subdivision, spoke in opposition during public comment and asked the board to consider safety, drainage and construction-hour restrictions. Bridal said the internal road width under proposed variances would be reduced below the county’s typical 20-foot standard and described existing conditions where two cars must pull off to pass.
"If you go on that road right now and there's two cars going like this, one of you is pulling off to the side...the road is not wide enough," Bridal said. He also raised slope and runoff concerns, worried construction noise would disrupt work-from-home schedules, and said he had not been contacted by the applicant about his specific concerns. The applicant's attorney responded that the plan includes a 15-foot undisturbed buffer adjacent to Bridal’s property, a 30-foot total setback, and said drainage and road issues would be addressed in plan review and permitting.
