Mayor highlights inclusive Finch French Park grant and new Williamstown firehouse, says project costs cut by roughly half

"We received $750,000 for [the park]," Mayor Wolf said, praising staff and community partners. He also updated the council on a multi‑year firehouse project: the Williamstown volunteer fire department has moved into a new state‑of‑the‑art building with a dedication expected in September. "We were able to... come in at under just a little under $8,000,000," he said, noting the figure was substantially lower than the prior $16,000,000 estimate recorded in earlier planning discussions.
The mayor also reported progress on the 322 Fries Mill Road construction project and said major construction — paving, curbing and sidewalks — is expected to be completed by the end of August, with punch‑list items to follow.
