Commissioner says Complete Streets policy draft is underway after community street audits

The consultant team and steering committee walked routes in the parish to conduct street audits and collect community input; the policy is now in draft form and receiving feedback from the steering committee.
"Complete Streets is the concept that our streets should be accessible to people who are using public transportation, who are on wheelchairs, the elderly, children, people on bicycles," the commissioner said. The steering committee will continue to provide input as staff and CPECS finalize the draft for broader review and implementation planning.
