Highlights included a one‑year renewal of the county’s multifactor authentication service for $43,830, an ESRI GIS licensing renewal for $45,505.35, parks entrance‑sign replacements for $27,781.80, vehicle upfitting contracts for roughly $167,004.50, and a courthouse x‑ray inspection system for $32,047.48.
Fire and Emergency Services requested and the board approved purchasing an immediately available 78‑foot ladder truck from FireLine, Inc. for $1,420,000 to replace a front‑line truck involved in an accident and out of service for months; the previously approved 75‑foot truck order will be cancelled. County staff told commissioners the demo unit was available for immediate delivery and, despite a modest price increase, the department prioritized front‑line capability.
The board also approved engineering amendments for Trickham Road and the SR‑92 at Trickham intersection to cover design modifications and additional right‑of‑way services, and authorized several contract amendments and routine surpluses and budget adjustments reported under consent.
What to watch: The ladder truck purchase was described as an operational necessity after the damaged unit was taken out of service; staff said funds will be found within departmental budgets.
