Principal Keta Cline reported on the SOAR behavior program and said staff training by Flint Simonson contributed to establishing the intervention system. Chair Jolene Marchand asked Effie Dean to double-check how much student time is devoted to the APEX curriculum, which Effie described as the base curriculum for graduation requirements alongside other classroom projects.
The board also discussed prom planning and the possibility of off-campus lunches; the counselor was absent but the board recorded questions for follow-up. Director Annette Moses noted she was pleased with Upward Bound's campus visit; ASB reported a college trip planned for May and a FAFSA meeting that took place this year.
