Will County PZC approves minutes, swears in public speakers and reiterates voting rules

Before substantive hearings, the commission approved minutes from April 21, May 5 and May 19 by unanimous voice votes and roll calls. Vice Chairman John Kiefner asked anyone intending to speak to raise a hand and swore in speakers, saying he would consider anyone who speaks to be sworn for the meeting’s matters.
Kiefner reminded attendees that, because five commissioners were present, state law requires four yes votes for a variance to pass; he offered parties the option to postpone a hearing if they preferred to seek a full board. The commission set its next meeting for August 4 and adjourned after a voice vote.
