At the Oct. 8 North Bonneville City Council meeting the sheriff reported recent incidents involving "problem turkeys" and coyotes that resulted in firearms being discharged in town; she stressed the legal prohibition against discharging firearms within city limits and said the sheriff’s office has increased patrols in the city.
The sheriff also described newly obtained "flock cameras" acquired with grant funding and said the department has identified planned locations for them. Separately, during new business the council approved a 2025 annual increase of $2,815 to the interlocal agreement for law-enforcement services; the motion passed with the councilers in attendance voting in favor.
