The North Bonneville City Council opened a public hearing on the city's Shoreline Master Program (SMP) at 7:01 p.m. on Aug. 13, 2024. Residents Mary Salka, Cheryl Jermann, Kendall Richards and Julia Blakely posed questions to Ecology representatives, Planner Richard Hall and Mayor Brian Sabo; the hearing record was closed at 7:09 p.m.
Councilmember Joshua Good asked the council to place the SMP on the agenda for a vote at the next meeting. The SMP governs shoreline use and development along the city's waterways; the hearing gave residents an opportunity to raise concerns and ask clarifying questions of staff and state representatives. No formal action on the SMP was taken at this meeting.
