Commissioners ask sheriff's office to explain 6% contract increase at next meeting

One commissioner said the commission is mindful of potential property tax losses and wants to understand if the increase is primarily salary-related or due to equipment and service expansions. Staff said they will invite a sheriff's office representative to the next meeting to present the contract details and answer questions.
