Based on 1,915 households, Weasner said the levy would equate to about $1,891.43 per household annually (approximately $157.62 per month) if every property were equal; she noted valuation differences mean individual bills will vary and that a county valuation error reduced the city’s tax base this year.
The presentation included department-level figures: the police department is the largest general-fund expenditure at $1,666,809 and the fire department follows at $433,452, together accounting for about $2.1 million (46%) of the general fund. Weasner also reviewed the five-year capital improvement plan and said the 2025 CIP lists roughly $2,361,234 in expenditures, including about $1.8 million for water and sewer reconstruction on Central Avenue.
