Board approves Seaside & Master Drainage scope and $15,000 irrigation change order
Summary
The board accepted a revised Seaside & Master Drainage scope (work expected in two to three weeks) and approved an Irrigation Concepts change order in a not-to-exceed amount of $15,000 to repair wiring and raise irrigation heads.
District Engineer Charlie Krebs presented a revised scope for the Seaside & Master Drainage Project intended to preserve the project’s original intent while making future adjustments easier; MRI anticipates starting the work in two to three weeks. Krebs also detailed ancillary irrigation repairs from Irrigation Concepts: $4,002.50 to repair damaged wiring and about $1,300 each to raise seven to eight irrigation heads.
On a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Schultz, the board approved the Irrigation Concepts change order "in a not-to-exceed amount of $15,000." Staff will proceed with the repairs and integrate them into the drainage project schedule.
