The River Ridge Community Development District appointed Keith Merrill to the vacant Seat 1 at its Oct. 22 meeting. Chair Bob Schultz nominated Merrill; the motion, made by Mr. Schultz and seconded by Mr. Twombly, was approved unanimously. Mrs. Adams, a notary, administered the Oath of Office and staff reviewed ethics training, Sunshine Law obligations and required financial-disclosure forms (Form 1 and Form 8B).
Following the appointment, the board considered Resolution 2025-01 to elect and remove officers. Mr. Blumenthal nominated officers as presented: Bob Schultz as Chair; Terry Mountford as Vice Chair; Kurt Blumenthal, Robert Twombly and Keith Merrill as Assistant Secretaries. The resolution removed James Gilman as an assistant secretary and left prior administrative appointments unchanged (including Chesley “Chuck” Adams as Secretary). The board also approved standard procedural items including ratification of the audited financial report for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30, 2023 (Resolution 2024-05A) and approval of the Aug. 27, 2024 meeting minutes with a single edit. The next meeting was rescheduled to Nov. 19, 2024.
