River Ridge CDD accepts resignation of Supervisor James Gilman and outlines appointment process

Mrs. Cleo Adams presented the resignation letter from Mr. James Gilman (Seat 1). The Board discussed next steps for filling the unexpired term and agreed the process will be by appointment (not election) to fill the seat through November 2026.
District staff will request candidate resumes and letters of interest, and Mr. Long and The Meadows' POA manager will help e-blast residents about the vacancy and candidate qualification requirements. The Board also noted that required ethics training, Form 1 instructions, and the Sunshine and Code of Ethics guidance will be provided to any appointee; administration of the oath of office was deferred to a future meeting. On motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, the Board unanimously accepted Mr. Gilman's resignation.
