Supporters including Trevor Carlson and Luke Cuccia testified the oversight committee would improve fiscal stewardship of federal funds and protect taxpayer interests.
After discussion, Senator Blaylock moved and Senator Harris seconded to hold H 916 in committee. The motion carried by voice vote; Senator Wintrow and Chair VanOrden requested to be recorded as voting Nay. The hold preserves the bill for further committee consideration rather than advancing it to the floor.
