Scott O'Zanna reported ongoing work at the Lanon King project and also noted a recent multifamily conversion on Mountain Road where an entire row of newly planted arborvitae had died. "Their whole row of arborvitae is dead too, so we'll have to send somebody over there for that," O'Zanna said. Board members discussed whether irrigation should be required as a condition of approval; members noted feasibility constraints in places without public water but suggested irrigation could be a condition where practical.
The board agreed landscaping requirements already require plantings to live as a condition of approval and said failure to maintain plantings could be grounds to deny future site plan approvals if applicants cannot meet screening requirements.
