Mayor Randall Sasser told the Mossyrock City Council the city planned a water shutoff on April 16 beginning at 9 p.m., expected to continue until about 2 a.m., to allow outside contractors and the City of Mossyrock Public Works team to bring a piping line up to code. Residents were notified via door-to-door handouts and announcements on the reader board.
The work includes both contractor and city crew activity to replace or repair piping to meet current standards. Council members did not vote on the project during the meeting; the update was provided as part of the Public Works report.
