Sam Brakeley submitted a design for a new permanent kiosk sign at Downer Forest to Brian Renfroe; commissioners discussed including photos and a write-up from Janet Sears and adding a QR code linking to longer material on the town website. Luis Bango confirmed he had received photos and the write-up for inclusion.
The commission decided to postpone a suggested My Walden educational event (proposed by Holly Henderson of UVLT and Hartford Conservation) until the fall and discussed asking Paul Harwood to host a walk about past management. Members also discussed hosting a moth survey night with Sharon schools and the Vermont Center for Ecostudies and weighed logistical issues such as road noise and timing for children, while expressing support for a range of community events.
