Commission approves Police Department's new hiring process; oral board date to be provided

The Napavine Civil Service Commission unanimously approved the Police Department's proposed hiring process and asked department staff to provide an oral board testing date to the Secretary/Chief Examiner.
Executive Assistant Judy Godbey presented the Police Department's proposed hiring process under New Business. Commissioner Charles Rollo moved to approve the process as presented; Chairman James Pea seconded the motion and the vote passed unanimously.
As part of the approval, Godbey agreed to advise Secretary/Chief Examiner Kim Alexander of the Oral Board testing date so the commission could coordinate validation and documentation. The approval authorizes the department to proceed with the process as presented at the April 21 meeting.
