SBA announces low-interest disaster loans for Lewis County after federal declaration

Tanda Morehead, a representative of the U.S. Small Business Administration, briefed the Napavine City Council on an active federal disaster declaration for Lewis County and nearby areas. Morehead said low-interest disaster recovery loans are available to homeowners, renters, small businesses and nonprofits to repair damaged property or recover economic losses and encouraged community members to use the recovery center in Chehalis.
Morehead provided a flyer to the council and clerk and asked that city staff help spread the word to affected residents. The council received the announcement as an informational item; no city-level emergency action or funding was requested at the March 10 meeting.
