The Board appointed Alicia Ibarra to the Yuma County Housing Board for a term expiring July 1, 2027. Housing Director Jesus Roldan noted that Arizona statute requires the Housing Governing Board to include a resident member; Ms. Ibarra was introduced at the dais and the motion (Reyes/Simmons) to appoint her passed 5-0.
Immediately afterward, the Board convened as the Yuma County Housing Governing Board where members approved Resolution No. 2026-27 authorizing a $4,948.90 write-off of bad debt and Resolution No. 2026-30 adopting an amended Section 8 Administrative Plan for the County's Choice Voucher Program. Those housing consent items carried on a 6-0 voice vote when Housing Board member Alicia Ibarra joined the dais for that portion of the meeting.
