Budget Director Lucia Gomez told the Board that statutory salary limits require constable salaries be within a range of not less than $55,000 and not more than $75,000 and that the recommended amounts were based on prior Board actions, the amounts requested by the constables and historical caseload metrics. The Board discussed considering staffing levels within precincts as an additional criterion for future salary evaluations.
