Yuma County elections staff says July 21 primary preparations are on track

Desiree Philipps, Clerk of the Board and Officer in Charge of Elections, presented a PowerPoint on June 23 saying the County's preparations for the July 21, 2026 Primary Election were on schedule. She reported approximately 112,000 active registered voters as of June 10, more than 7,600 new registrations since the 2024 presidential election, over 81,000 voters on the active early voting list, and about 356 UOCAVA (military and overseas) voters.
Philipps said the county and state logic and accuracy tests were completed June 17 and 18, with certification received; first unofficial election results will post at 8:00 a.m. on election night, followed by ongoing processing of late early and provisional ballots and a hand count audit beginning July 25. She said election preparations are "on track" and emphasized the county's "commitment to a transparent, secure election process that maintains voter confidence." The Board received the update; no action was required.
