New parks committee chair asks council for ideas on park improvements

Marcia Manley told the council she has stepped up as chair of the parks committee and said the committee and community members have submitted suggestions for improvements. She asked council members to forward their ideas to Ms. Hannon or Treasurer Angie Hartmann and suggested including what children and grandchildren would like and possibly choosing a unifying theme for the park.
Manley said the parks board consists of "about five or six" members and that the committee recently moved its meetings to the second Monday so they meet before the city council. No funding decisions were made at the meeting.
