Commission grants Mazella extension, approves Lechner waivers and tables several subdivision items

The commission granted Mazella an extension to April 17, 2025; approved Lechner lot-combination waivers; and tabled Matti, Levan, Hill and Fierro proposals for resubmission or further corrections.
The Planning Commission handled several administrative land-development items at its Jan. 7 meeting. Members granted an extension for Mazella (parcels 51-51-A8.03 & 51-51-A8.04) until April 17, 2025. A Matti lot-line revision (36-51-A8.16 & 51-51-A8.04) was tabled because of conflicting guidance on whether an HOP was required: state guidance indicated none was needed while township ordinance requires one; the commission requested resubmission.
The commission approved combining lots for Lechner (22A-51-B643 & 22A-51-B634) with conditional approval per BIA review and granted waivers from contour/datum, tree-caliper mapping, and opinion-of-title requirements because deeds were provided. Levan (66B-51-A105 & 66B-51-A106) was tabled until February after a surveyor email indicated the applicants were not ready. Hill and Fierro items were also tabled pending plan revisions to conform to current SALDO language and review comments. Motions for these items were made by William Miller and seconded by various commissioners; minutes record each motion as carried.
