Following public comment urging purchase of the Halleck/Enterprise parcel, board members discussed zoning, prior wetland determinations and options for acquisition before moving to authorize appraisals.
Member Werner moved to proceed with appraisal of the Halleck parcel; Member Rovich seconded. The board voted by roll call and authorized staff to obtain appraisals and enter negotiations if appropriate.
Staff noted previous wetland determinations from around 2000 have expired and that new delineations may be required; staff also said the city has approximately $4 million remaining in the Turnbull fund for acquisitions. The board directed staff to return with appraisal information at the next meeting.
