Staff reported the park revolving fund balance as "$56,752" and proposed creating a "Friends of Chase Park" donation vehicle or a revolving fund to offset future operating costs. Chair Matt Beeler and members discussed whether such a fund would be limited to Chase Park or available for broader facility expenses and noted the need to define allowable uses before pursuing a ballot measure.
On small customer fees, staff said they surveyed about 18 seniors; more than half indicated they would accept a modest $5 sticker fee and none of those surveyed said it would deter them. Members cautioned that any fee or revolving fund would require clear accounting rules and, for a ballot measure, sufficient time to prepare.
