The Fairview Park Planning & Design Commission deferred consideration of signage and reserved parking requested by Ellie’s at 22915 Lorain Road after hearing that a landlord-tenant dispute is pending in court. Leslie Ford, who identified herself as a co-owner of Ellie’s, said the business sought 12 reserved parking spaces and had obtained an emergency injunction because other patrons were using the back parking lot; she said the court hearing was scheduled for the next day. "We had to get an emergency injunction because we couldn’t get them to stay out of the back parking lot," Ford said.
Landlord Terri Kreci told the commission she had no problem with the physical sign but objected to the proposed wording, noting prior court filings and a lease change are in progress. Assistant Law Director John Castele advised the commission that the board should wait for the court to resolve the landlord-tenant dispute before acting on signage. Mr. Muhvic moved to defer docket 1-26-02P; Mr. Pofok seconded and the motion to defer carried unanimously. The item was deferred to the commission's February 18, 2026 meeting.
