Commission weighs special meeting options amid recusals and June workload

Staff told the commission there are six items likely for the June agenda and noted the commission will be down to a smaller membership count and still have a vacancy; that combination risks lacking a quorum if multiple members must recuse. Staff asked members to confirm availability by the end of business the next day. "If you don't think that you're going to be able to be here, please let us know in advance," staff said.
The group discussed rescheduling the meeting, holding a special meeting within the same week (a Monday or Wednesday), or having the Historic Preservation Review Committee handle some reviews if the full commission could not vote. Commissioners tentatively agreed to consider Monday the 19th at 5:00 p.m. for a possible special meeting and asked staff to coordinate availability.
