Baltimore liquor board to publish draft rules, seeks 30 days of public comment

The Board of Liquor License Commissioners for Baltimore City said it will release a draft of revised licensing rules tomorrow and open a 30-day public comment period.
"We will release it tomorrow via email... It will also be on our website," the deputy executive secretary said, urging licensees, attorneys and residents to review the draft. The board said staff will circulate a brief synopsis pointing to new or adjusted definitions and rules and will hold a hearing in this room on Sept. 10. The board signaled an October 1 target for implementation, subject to the outcome of the comment period and the hearing.
The chair asked stakeholders to participate in the review process and noted the board’s goal is clarity and legal compliance in the updated rules. The deputy encouraged people to join the board’s Facebook page for updates and to send suggested language changes or comments during the 30‑day window.
