Council approved purchase of Shaw Modern Heirloom Larkspur carpet for the library reservation room from Carpet For Less, Cimarron, in an amount of $5,182.61; the purchase includes removal of old carpet, installation of new carpet, and new cove baseboard. The motion to approve the purchase was made by Councilmember Brian Kroth, seconded by Councilmember George Lucas, and carried with all in favor.
City Administrator Dean Cordes reported that the pool sand filter installation is complete and that plumbing and filling remain before the pool is ready; he described the work as "off to a good start" in the minutes. Cordes also reported a water main leak in the City Park and said the north entrance will be blocked until the line can be replaced. Councilmember Lance DeLissa introduced a proposed pet adoption form for future pound adoptions and asked staff to review it as a potential policy item.
These items were considered routine maintenance and operations matters; staff were directed to follow up on procurement, schedule final pool work, coordinate closure and repair of the park water main, and report back on the pet adoption policy.
