"Be resolved that the following resolutions placed on the agenda by consent require no discussion, same having been previously viewed by each council person, be and hereby adopted in their entirety by the mayor and council," Councilman Boyce said when presenting the consent package. The consent items listed included bills and claims, a sidewalk refund, contract awards to Stryker Sales LLC, North Jersey Truck Center Inc., and Cliffside Body Corporation, a county snow-plowing agreement, inclusion in the Bergen County Community Development Program, advertisement of the 2026 road paving program bid, confirmation of special law enforcement appointments, and liquor license renewals for 2026–2027.
The motion to adopt the consent resolution was seconded and approved by roll call. Clerk roll-call questions and affirmative responses were recorded before the council moved on to committee reports. The council did not discuss individual consent items during the meeting; members indicated they had reviewed documents in advance and chose to adopt the package by consent. The council’s adoption of these items advances routine procurement and licensing matters and allows staff to proceed with contracting and administrative renewals.
