Representative Ford read the citation into the record, saying crews responded within an hour of noticing the break, worked through severe weather conditions, and completed repairs and temporary traffic-control measures to reopen lanes. The citation listed many employees by name who participated in the repair and subsequent cleanup. Representative Ford said the City’s crews “are the unsung heroes in our city” and commended their dedication.
City staff and council members joined a photo opportunity with the representative and invited department directors and crew representatives forward for recognition. No formal action was required beyond presentation and thanks from the council.
