During public comment on Jan. 26, Debbie Heinson, speaking on behalf of the Meade Chamber of Commerce, requested the city purchase seasonal banners for Highway 54 poles using Special Project funds already set aside. She provided cost details: the fund balance is $3,333.36; banners cost $28 apiece and the chamber requested 50 banners per season for a total of $1,400 per season.
Councilmember George Lucas moved to approve the purchase and Councilmember Jonathan Unruh seconded; the motion carried with all in favor. The minutes record that banners will be purchased through the City with artwork/information supplied by the Meade Chamber of Commerce and paid from the designated Special Project fund.
