Chief Petty-Brown presented the April report for the Millcreek precinct, reporting 2,466 calls for service, 800 new police reports (down from 856), 44 transient-related calls and 20 mental-health calls. She noted priority-one response times increased to approximately nine minutes during April, compared to a typical range of six to six-and-a-half minutes, and explained response times can be affected by complex or time-intensive calls.
Petty-Brown highlighted community engagement efforts including precinct tours, a career day at a local charter school and the department's ice-cream-truck outreach program. She welcomed K‑9 Mills to the unit and summarized traffic enforcement (480 citations, four DUI arrests, 43 accident reports, 14 hit-and-run cases) and Drug Enforcement Unit activity (nine cases, 13 arrests, nine search warrants, two recovered stolen vehicles and seizures of narcotics including fentanyl pills). She also noted staffing updates and the plan to recruit for a civilian Human Resources Director following a planned retirement.
