During the Open Discussion the council identified several goals for 2026: establish a tree board; implement pedestrian-safety recommendations from the JEO Consulting traffic study; review and update planning and zoning ordinances (staff and Planning & Zoning will draft recommended updates, and an informational solar meeting had already provided material modeled primarily on the Leawood City Code); and plan a city holiday gathering. Council member attendance and staff participation were noted as part of next steps.
