Mural festival will announce artists Aug. 12; designs to remain confidential until reveal

The selection committee and Streetwise Arts reported that artists have been chosen and that revised designs (13 in total) are ready for internal review. Leah (committee member) explained that the committee reviewed designs, requested a few revisions, and then finalized the roster of artists for the festival.
"That's our proposed artist announcement date," Leah said, noting August 12 as the public reveal; she added that the designs themselves will not be shared publicly until the festival so the announcement will introduce the artists while keeping designs confidential for the reveal. Staff said they will send council a private PDF digest next week so council can provide light feedback before the public announcement.
