The Selectboard discussed the possibility of moving the town budget to a fiscal year to ease the confluence of year-end tasks — budgeting, annual audit, town report and elections — and agreed the Treasurer will be asked to join budget preparation and maintain the official budget file. The board noted RHR Smith is contracted for annual audit services through 2026 and will be asked to initiate the audit process.
In other business, Sylvia Jensen asked that the Trustees of Public Funds be given agenda time at the next regular meeting to address an interest payment due and an outstanding balance owed by the Town; the board agreed to schedule that item.
