.GOV transition, AV upgrade options and conditional approval for Recreation Dept. AARP grant

Selectboard member Cary Sandvig reported that Rural Solutions will begin monthly managed‑IT support on Oct. 1 and that the town would begin a transition to a .GOV domain immediately; invoicing from Rural Solutions was expected. The board reviewed previously approved Owl AV options for the meeting room and concluded that a more robust system would be needed for the larger community room; Sandvig said he will work with Rural Solutions on options and laptop upgrades and will source a tablet for the Listers to improve field efficiency. "Rural Solutions monthly support would begin on October 1st and the transition to the .GOV platform will begin immediately," Sandvig said.
The Recreation Department requested approval to submit an AARP winter grant to fund repair of the community room kitchen fire-suppression system; a motion to approve the submission was made by Cary Sandvig, seconded by Pat Treckman, and carried unanimously. The board also discussed options for sand and salt procurement and assigned Bruce Noble to coordinate deliveries as needed.
