Selectboard reviews West Shore culvert closeout, seawall repair, salt-shed security and tree-trimming bid

Members reported that the West Shore Road ditching and culvert project appears to be complete, though one bill remains outstanding; members Pat Treckman and Mary‑Catherine Graziano will prepare the grant-closeout paperwork next week. The board also noted a second request for repair to the West Shore seawall; the interim Road Commissioner will carry out permitted shoreline repair work when scheduled.
Because of historic issues with sand/theft, the Selectboard discussed installing security cameras at the salt shed and dump and asked Cary Sandvig to contact Rural Solutions and DC Energy for proposals. The roadside tree-trimming bid that was approved at a prior meeting will be posted Oct. 3 and run for two weeks, with the Oct. 15 bid due date. The board also agreed to prepare a road-inventory before budget season and requested the interim Road Commissioner address sign replacement and installation.
