Selectboard moves forward with animal-control ordinance revision, seeks VLCT review

The Isle La Motte Selectboard discussed revisions to the town’s animal-control ordinance during its Aug. 21 meeting. Mary-Catherine Graziano said she had forwarded Jim Benson’s comments to Chair Peter Brzozowy and that those comments will be incorporated into the next draft.
Board members noted the draft will include language specifying that costs associated with an animal-control call will be paid by the offender. Graziano recommended that the Vermont League of Cities & Towns (VLCT) review the revised language for legal sufficiency before the town posts it for a 60-day public review period.
