The Selectboard reviewed options for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds and set a target to resolve the issue by the Aug. 21, 2024 meeting. Board members noted that moving ARPA funds into a reserved fund requires a town vote. Possible uses discussed included installing mini-split heating and cooling units in the town office, and retaining the boiler as backup while pairing space upgrades with solar installations when feasible.
Selectboard members asked for follow-up research on grant opportunities and cost estimates. Sylvia Jensen agreed to look into a grant she had mentioned during the discussion. No commitments of ARPA dollars were recorded in the minutes; the board scheduled further discussion at a future meeting.
