Town highway business on June 23 included equipment purchases and an update on needed road repairs. Nathan Hewitt reported purchases of an extension cord, garden hoses and a grease gun for the town garage; Tim Carter moved to purchase a chainsaw, Darin May seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The board also reviewed a road inspection: Tim Carter and Bobbi Raiche drove town roads with Ethan from RRPC and reported that Weaver Hill requires engineering work. Cross Roads will need ditch cleaning, bank seeding, added riprap, and more gravel in locations where the road surface has deteriorated. The board discussed follow-up engineering and maintenance scheduling.
