Ira Historical Society seeks donations for schoolhouse roof; board to consider $4,000 contribution

The Select Board said it would consider funding $4,000 toward the cost and asked that the solicitation letter be placed on the June 23 agenda for further discussion.
The board also approved the Historical Society painting the Town Hall stairs and noted the Historical Society’s request to display flags for the town’s 250th anniversary. The minutes indicate the board has not yet solicited additional bids for the roof repair and would welcome others to provide estimates.
