Highway business dominated several agenda items on May 29. Board members recorded complaints about the coarseness of material used on town roads and discussed adding more fines at a 2:1 ratio and applying material thicker. The board also noted the need for a guard rail on West Road and said a state representative will inspect the bottom portion of Weaver Hill Road.
John Farrell cannot perform roadside mowing this summer; the board will contact West Rutland about contracting mowing. The minutes further noted a hydroseed bank on Cross Roads, the need to blow out ditches and fill with stone where necessary, and that the grader requires a fuel cap.
