On dental services, the committee approved a set of additions including a $50,000 request for equipment and a modest increase for specialty pediatric dental capacity tied to school-based programs. Councilmembers asked for numbers on students served and whether care for kids patients are Medicaid‑eligible; DHHS said it would provide those utilization details for the full county packet.
The committee also heard about improved dental wait times and the East County Dental pilot, and recorded consensus for the listed public health votes. Council staff noted some small reductions where services were underutilized and recommended reconciling those line items in the final packet.
