Selectboard member Mary-Catherine Graziano outlined a proposal, attributed to resident Steve Mank, to add refrigeration, freezer capacity and shelving to the Town Office Food Shelf to improve weekly self-service offerings and to accept overflow from resident gardens. The board agreed the improvement would be welcome and asked Graziano to develop a plan and budget and to explore assistance from community groups.
No funding was committed at the meeting. The proposal will be developed further and considered as part of the 2025 budget process; Graziano will report back with costs and potential partners.
