The Selectboard adopted the latest draft of the town’s dog ordinance and opened the required 60‑day public review period. Chair Peter Brzozowy moved to adopt the ordinance and begin the review period; the motion was seconded by Mary‑Catherine Graziano and passed unanimously.
The board noted consultation with the Vermont League of Cities and Towns; meeting minutes state VLCT "commented only that the maximum total fine that could be charged for an incident is $800.00." Mary‑Catherine Graziano will send the draft to Jim Benson for review and the town will post the ordinance draft on the town website for the official review period.
