Board reelects L. Churape as chair; D. Koehn confirmed as vice chair

The North River School District Board of Directors reelected L. Churape as board chair and confirmed D. Koehn as vice chair during its Jan. 16, 2025 regular meeting.
Vice Chair D. Koehn nominated L. Churape for chairman and Director M. Farnell seconded the nomination; the roll-call vote recorded four yes votes and one abstention. The board then accepted D. Koehn as vice chair after an exchange of nominations; roll-call for that vote also showed four yes votes and one abstention. The board recorded the rolls as: J. Banas — yes; L. Churape — abstain; J. Greiner — yes; D. Koehn — yes; M. Farnell — yes.
The votes were taken by roll call and the board chairmanship and vice chair positions were filled without further debate. The elections were part of the meeting's annual organization business, which proceeded after routine approvals and reports.
The board will continue its regular meeting schedule; no changes to officer duties or assignments were announced at the meeting.
