Superintendent recommends teacher discretion on cell phones, invites security company for October briefing

On classroom policy, Winters summarized a proposed approach to cell phones and stated that "his recommendation is to leave it up to the teacher." He also announced upcoming events including a Missoula Play (Pinocchio) on Nov. 1 and a Veterans Day assembly on Nov. 7.
Vice Chair Koehn said she will conduct the superintendent’s evaluation in October, an item the board will address in its routine oversight work.
