Pittsburg County commissioners awarded three surplus equipment sales that had been submitted by sealed bid. The board read letters from local volunteer fire departments recommending awardees and then voted to accept the recommended bidders.
For Bid No. 25 (2000 F350 Ford truck) the board accepted Tannehill Fire Department'recommended award to Kent Dalmont; for Bid No. 26 (Kubota K-2 UTV) the board accepted the Tannehill Fire Department recommendation to award to Rick Compton; for Bid No. 27 (John Deere mower) the board approved an award recorded by motion (minutes show the award motion and approval). Each award was made by motion and recorded as passed by unanimous vote.
The minutes record the awarding motions but do not include sale closing dates, purchaser contact information, or final sale receipts; those documents are maintained in the county purchasing file.
